Messy Lab, a ceramic collective is a Cultural Association born with the intention of supporting and enhancing the tradition of ceramics through the promotion of courses, seminars and cultural trips. The Messy Lab Association is mainly active in Liguria and Piedmont. In particular, since 2016 it is engaged in the recovery and restoration of a ceramic laboratory located in an extremely fascinating context: the Torri Superiore Ecovillage. The intention of the association is also to promote responsible tourism. Nature surrounds the ecovillage: it is possible to venture into long walks among the olive groves and the low Ligurian mountains, as well as dive and swim in absolute freedom in the splendid natural water basins of the Bevera river. An unmissable experience!
Not far from the ecovillage it is possible to reach the sea and the famous Balzi Rossi beach. Still heading towards France, the Hanbury Botanical Gardens meet, the characteristic Menton and a little beyond Nice and Antibes, where famous artists like Matisse, Picasso and Chagall have lived and worked. Moreover, without going too far from Torri Superiore, there are Italian villages like Dolceacqua, Apricale, Airole and the ancient perched village of Ventimiglia, which still preserve an authentic atmosphere.
THE PROJECT: PROMOTING RURAL AND RESPONSIBLE TOURISM
Recently the Association has also begun to collaborate with the Cascina Malerbe in San Raffaele Cimena (TO) and, together with Stefania Spanedda, Messy Lab is developing a new project to promote rural and responsible tourism in Piedmont through the promotion of courses of ceramics.
